Nestled in the highlands with sweeping valley views, Villa Kunang-kunang offers beautiful accommodation in a tranquil environment.  The mild temperate climate of Ubud is refreshing, necessitating ceiling-fans only in the villa.                                              Two villas are on the property however only one is available for guests - the first being the home of Murni.  The guest villa is comprised of 3 bedrooms, a single on the top level and 2 more on the ground floor.  These may be taken as a whole or separately - each with its own private access.  Fully serviced, with a delicious menu for you to choose from also, Villa Kunang-kunang offers peace and tranquility in the lap of luxury.  A variety of Murni's antiques and art objects brings the beauty of Bali into your villa. Our most popular accommodation is on the lower level of the villa and has two bedrooms, marble floors throughout and is comfortable for one to four people. The main bedroom has a king sized bed and queen sized bed in the other.  The main bedroom is also equipped with an electronic safe for your valuables.   The accommodation has single bathroom with modern amenities.  A comfortable lounge & dining area open out onto a wide verandah that flows to the beautiful garden.  A refrigerator stocked with beverages and television with satellite channels adds to the comfort of your stay.  Those wanting a quiet pastime during their stay may choose some reading matter from the well stocked bookcases in the villa.   The top-floor villa accommodation has one bedroom with separate study, a living room, a large bathroom with Jacuzzi and marble floors throughout. It is perfect for one or two people.  The living room has two sofas, a desk, and television with satellite reception. A well equipped small kitchen is off the living room - ideal for the preparation of a small snack or meal if you are so inclined.   The bedroom has a king-sized bed,  spacious wardrobes and an easy-to-operate electronic safe. The bathroom is modern with a Jacuzzi tub and a large, walk-in shower.   The verandah of your villa is lovely place to enjoy your meals or relax with a drink and book with uninterrupted views of the valley and rice fields.   A brief walk up from your villa is the pool overlooking the valley below. Its design follows the contours of the terraced rice fields and it has an infinity edge which drops off into space. When you look out over the pool all you can see is water, greenery and sky -- or the stars and fireflies at night The 15-meter (50-foot) pool is crystal-clear salt water which the Balinese sun keeps at the perfect temperature year-round. On deck, you'll find an umbrella-covered table perfect for drinks or meals, and deck chairs for relaxing.  On the other side of the infinity drop-off is a waterfall that splashes into a children's wading pool. If you'd like an evening swim, the night caretaker will be happy to walk you up to the pool and turn on the lights. Or, for the ultimate in privacy and starlit splendor, he will leave them off.   The extensive gardens are scattered with 33 statues of Buddha, lotus ponds, 4 Balinese shrines and 2 antique rice barns, providing interesting points for long strolls through the gardens.  Adventurous guests can walk down past the shrine, across the paddy fields and explore the other side of the hill also!
